Publisher: | Istanbul Univ, Research Inst Turkology, Dept Art History | Abstract: | During the late decades of 19th century, by the high interest of Abdulhamid II a new art environment appeared in imperial palace and its surroundings. In Yildiz Cini Fabrika-i Humayun, which was founded by Sultan Abdulhamid II, domestic and foreign painters decorated produced porcelain objects, and some of them painted views and landscape of Istanbul.
