Abstract: This paper presents the stability analysis of equilibrium points of a general discrete-time population dynamics involving predation with and without Allee effects which occur at low population density. The mathematical analysis and numerical simulations show that the Allee effect has a stabilizing role oil the local stability of the positive equilibrium points of this model. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd.
