Abstract: In the latest era, the significant increase in technology adoption enhanced the online procurement process. In this study, the factors affecting the usage and perceived acceptance of e-procurement have been studied. The relationship between cultural properties of the countries and e-Commerce activities of enterprises are found to be significant. This analysis is particularly important for successful implementation of E-Procurement systems. Using e-Commerce data from EU countries, the empirical analysis in this paper has been run using Hofstede's cultural dimensions. Power Distance Index (PDI) and Uncertainty Avoidance Index (UAI) are found to be important cultural traits that impact e-Commerce behavior of enterprises. © 2008 IADIS.
