Klasik eserlere çocuklar nasıl yönlendirilmeli ve buna ilişkin batıdaki uygulamalardan örnekler

Abstract

Klasik eserler içinde yazıldığı toplumu şekillendiren, aradan geçen zamana rağmen eskimeyen, sadece yazarının ait olduğu topluma değil, genel okuyucuya hitap eden eserler olarak her toplumda “değerli” kabul edilen sanat eserleridir. Bu özellikleri ile bu eserleri sahiplenme, bir sonraki nesillere ulaştırma çabası hemen her toplumda karşımıza çıkan bir durumdur. Bu yazıda, “klasik eserler çocuk okuyucuların yaş gruplarına ve algı seviyelerine hitap edecek düzeyde hazırlanabilir mi” sorusu üzerinde durulacak, batıda çocuk klasiklerini günümüz okuyucusuna sunma konusunda yapılan çalışma ve uygulamalar örnek model önerisi olarak sunulacaktır.

Classics are as addressing to general reader, not only the society the work written in, accepted as “valuable” works. They are timeless works of art despite the intervening time and they shape the society. Adopting of these works with these features and effort to transfer them to the next generation is a situation encountered in almost every community. This paper will focus on the question “can classics be prepared according to the level of age groups and perception of children readers?”. A model will be suggested about the studies and applications done for simplifying children‟s classics for today‟s reader in west.
