dc.description.abstract | This chapter discusses the joint international studio of Atelier Europeen as a long-term, flexible educational experience, integrating both formal and informal methods. The studio was interpreted, shaped and adapted depending on the structure, and profiles of the contributing programs of different schools from different fields of architecture, as architectural design, urbanism and conservation. For architectural education, if a design studio can be adapted for many different tasks, its function can be regarded as flexible. Today, the architectural design education has experienced many changes, being diversified and made open to different experimental approaches, creating new opportunities for students by providing them with flexibility, creating a "formal–informal integrated education network". Interdisciplinary project studies, including the fields of architecture design, urbanism and conservation, considering the problematic urban areas, particularly with the issues of collapse and transformation, have been studied simultaneously and in parallel. © ISTE Ltd 2020. | en_US |
