Biography
Dr. Aykut Eken received his PhD in Medical Informatics in Middle East Technical University. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) Medical Optics research group. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering TOBB ETÜ, Ankara, Turkey. His principal areas of research are functional near infrared imaging, EEG imaging, neural signal processing and applications of statistical and machine-learning methods to behavioral, biological, and medical sciences.
