Biography

Dr. Betül Atalay-Satoğlu is an associate professor in the Computer Engineering Department at TOBB ETÜ. She received her B.S. from Bilkent University, Computer Engineering Department in 1996, and her M.S. and Ph.D. from University of Maryland, College Park, Department of Computer Science in 1998 and 2004, respectively. She worked as an assistant professor and tenured associate professor at Saint Joseph s University, Phialdelphia during 2004-2014. Her research is in the areas of computational geometry and mesh generation, and she has particular interests in quality-guaranteed mesh generation, design and implementation of geometric data structures and algorithms, and learning 3-dimensional geometry through machine learning methods.
